Coronavirus Information/Advice

Be Alert, Stay Safe. Social distance at least two meters away from people outside your household. Where a face covering when social distancing is difficult. Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds. Work from home wherever possible and avoid public transport.
Shielding. For people that have a health condition that makes them more likely to become unwell if they get Coronavirus. You will be sent a letter by the NHS. Do not leave your house for twelve weeks. Ask friends or neighbours to deliver shopping or medication to your doorstep. Carers can continue helping with other tasks suchs as washing and dressing. Use the phone and internet to stay in touch with family and friends. If you have symptoms of Coronavirus, call the NHS on 111. What should I do to prevent catching and spreading the coronavirus? Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use a sanitiser gel. Catch coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues. Throw away used tissues (then wash hands). If you don't have a tissue, use your sleeve. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
Advice for people who think they may have coronavirus. Step 1, do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Step 2, Visit 111.nhs.uk/covid-19 for advice. Step 3, you and your household will be required to self isolate as per current recommendations. Step 4, Keep up to date with the latest guidance from the NHS website. Step 5, contact your family and friends for support with shopping and collecting prescriptions. Step 6, contact the NHS on 111 if you are concerned or if you become very unwell.
